"Nine out of ten" é a única canção que compus em inglês de que realmente gosto. A idéia do título surgiu quando do exílio ao ver um comercial na tevê inglesa sobre um sabonete da marca lux, que dizia: "nine out of ten movie stars use lux"; e como na época eu estava me redescobrindo com o cinema, com os novos cineastas, com Visconti, com "Rocco e Seus Irmãos", com Alain Delon, e de como eu me emocionava e chorava com os filmes europeus, tudo isso criou o ambiente propício á feitura da letra. A música também é boa, essa passagem de "I´m alive para "vivo muito vivo", a mistura de idiomas atendendo a uma realidade harmônica foi um achado."
